Impossible Travel Campaign

To create a campaign by choosing a location someone would love to visit whether it is fictional or a place that once was but lost to time. This place can be a real place but beyond means to travel to. For this assignment I wanted to create my campaign on a fictional location from a book and movie called Hogwarts. Hogwarts is a magical place where anything is possible.

Process

Sketches

Initial Sketches to showcase my thought process on the direction I wanted my project to showcase. I wanted the viewers to see this magical location and want to visit to experience the impossible trip.

Colors

I chose to use black and white colors for the heading on each poster since each design has so many variations of color so choosing white and black helped the design pop.

Typography

For my typography I decided to go with Adorns Serif for the heading for all there posters. Adorns serif is a minimal yet showcases the elegance of Hogwarts. Another font I decided use for quick description on a poster is Athelas Regular. This typeface also showcased the same similarities of the other font in a calmer pace.

Digital Iterations

After feedback, I created two different sets. The billboard first iteration was in black in white and cursive but was found hard to read and looked too dark. So I then switched to a more colorful image with kids in the front showing some activities offered.

After feedback, for the poster I created the first iteration design with a big castle and a girl holding balloons but after feedback this was not selling the impossible theme and felt out of place. So I decided to show case a castle with a Car flying just like the movie and a girl on a broom.

After feedback, for the web banner I created one version of the digital iteration and did not make changes as this was working more than the other two posters. I wanted to showcase the full image of a castle from above with a unicorn showing the magical theme.
