Reinventing A Classic

For this project we choose a classic book to reinvent the cover. We reinvented the cover by choosing different images and combining them together to communicate the story effectively. For this assignment I chose to go with
Around the World in 80 days by Jules Verne.

Process

Sketches

I completed three different sketches for the cover to showcase different ways to travel that could be utilize to travel the world in eighty days.

Colors

For my colors I wanted to choose something to represent the sky blue. The sky blue and white clouds would grab the attention to showcase the air balloon in the sky.

Typography

For the typography I went with Rafaella, this type was eye catching and elegant. The unique typeface complimented the book cover to catch the viewers attention.

Digital Iterations

After feedback I the digital poster drafts by showcasing an image of the world turning into a air balloon and transportation going across the world to represent the travel.

Final Design

For my final design I changed the typeface to a more elegant and eye catching type and moved it to the bottom of the page rather in the middle of the world. I made this change so the title can be read easily.
